Last updated: July 2026
Atomo Innovation Private Limited (“Atomo”, “we”, “our” or “us”) respects your privacy and is committed to protecting personal data processed through our websites, products, software, platforms, applications, AI solutions and related services.
This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, disclose and protect information when you visit www.atomo.in or another website operated by Atomo; purchase, access or use an Atomo Processing Unit or another Atomo hardware product; use AtomicOS, Atomic Center, ASNN SDK, APIs, dashboards, applications or associated software; participate in an Atomo training, certification, pilot, demonstration, event or support programme; deploy or interact with an Atomo Edge AI, computer-vision, IoT or industrial analytics solution; communicate or enter into a commercial relationship with Atomo; or otherwise interact with our products, personnel or services.
This Privacy Policy should be read with our Terms and Conditions, applicable product documentation, enterprise agreement, data-processing agreement, statement of work and any privacy notice provided for a specific deployment.
1. About Atomo
Atomo Innovation Private Limited is a company incorporated under the laws of India, having its registered office at:
W 406, 4th Floor, Sidhraj Z Square, Kudasan, Gandhinagar, Gujarat, India - 382421
For privacy-related questions or grievances, correspondence may be sent in writing to the registered office above, addressed to the Grievance Officer / Data Protection Contact.
2. Scope of This Policy
This Privacy Policy applies where Atomo determines why and how personal data is processed, including information collected through our website, sales processes, customer accounts, support channels and direct business interactions.
For many enterprise deployments, the customer deploying an Atomo solution determines why and how camera feeds, employee information, visitor information, sensor data or other operational data is processed. In those circumstances, the customer is generally the Data Fiduciary, controller or equivalent responsible entity; Atomo generally acts as a Data Processor, processor, service provider or technology vendor; the customer is responsible for providing required notices, establishing a lawful basis, obtaining permissions and handling individual rights; and Atomo processes the information according to the customer’s documented instructions and applicable contractual terms.
Individuals whose information is captured through a customer-operated deployment should first contact the organisation operating that deployment.
3. Information We Collect
3.1 Identity and Contact Information
This may include name; business or organisation name; job title; postal or billing address; account username; professional profile information; and authorised representative details.
3.2 Commercial and Transaction Information
This may include products or services purchased or requested; quotation, purchase order and invoice information; payment status and transaction references; subscription, licence and warranty information; delivery and installation details; customer-support history; and contract and account-management information. We may use authorised payment service providers. Atomo does not ordinarily store complete payment-card credentials unless specifically stated at the point of collection.
3.3 Website and Online Usage Information
We may automatically receive IP address; browser type and version; device type and operating system; approximate location derived from IP address; pages viewed and actions taken; referral URLs; date, time and duration of visits; cookie and analytics identifiers; and security, diagnostic and server-log information.
3.4 Product, Device and Technical Information
When you activate, register, configure or use an Atomo product or platform, we may process product serial number and device identifier; hardware and firmware version; AtomicOS or software version; account and organisation identifier; network configuration and connectivity status; IP and MAC address where technically necessary; installed models, packages and integrations; system health, resource usage and temperature information; event, error, diagnostic and audit logs; licence and activation information; update status and security telemetry; API usage and access logs; and support-related configuration data.
Where a product is configured to operate entirely on-premise or offline, operational data may remain on the customer’s local infrastructure unless the customer enables remote management, cloud synchronisation, technical support, telemetry, backup or another connected function.
3.5 Camera, Video, Image and Audio Data
Certain Atomo solutions can process camera feeds, images, video streams or, where specifically enabled, audio inputs. Depending on the deployment, this may include live or recorded video; images or video frames; detected objects or events; people-counting information; facial images or facial templates; vehicle or licence-plate information; attendance or access-control records; safety-equipment detection; movement, behaviour or anomaly information; fire, smoke or security alerts; and metadata, confidence scores, timestamps and event logs.
Atomo’s Edge AI products are designed to support local processing. However, the exact storage location, retention period and transfer mechanism are determined by the deployment configuration and customer instructions.
Facial recognition, biometric identification, workplace monitoring, surveillance and similar functions may be subject to additional legal restrictions. Customers must not enable such functions unless they have established a valid legal basis, provided required notices and implemented appropriate safeguards.
3.6 IoT, Sensor and Industrial Information
Our products may process information received from industrial equipment, sensors, controllers, cameras, machines and connected systems, including environmental and operational readings; machine status and performance information; Modbus, MQTT or other protocol data; production and quality-control information; alarms, faults and maintenance events; equipment identifiers; location or zone information; energy usage information; and customer-defined telemetry.
Industrial or sensor information may not identify a person by itself. It will be treated as personal data where it is linked or reasonably linkable to an identifiable individual.
3.7 AI Inputs, Outputs and Model Information
When customers use our AI, machine-learning, SDK, model-conversion, model-training or analytics services, we may process datasets supplied by customers; prompts, instructions and configuration parameters; images, video, documents or sensor records used as model inputs; annotations and labels; model files and weights; inference results; confidence scores; logs and performance metrics; and feedback regarding model accuracy and behaviour.
We do not use customer confidential data or customer deployment data to train general-purpose commercial models unless the customer has expressly authorised that use in writing.
We may use anonymised, aggregated or synthetic information to improve product security, reliability and performance where such information cannot reasonably identify an individual or disclose customer confidential information.
3.8 Training, Events and Programme Information
When you participate in an Atomo training, certification, event, accelerator, pilot or workshop, we may collect registration and attendance details; educational and professional information; assessment and certification records; photographs or recordings where notice and permission have been provided; feedback and survey responses; and device or lab-access activity.
3.9 Communications and Support Information
We may process the contents of letters, meetings, support tickets and other communications, together with attachments, diagnostic files and information you choose to provide.
3.10 Information from Third Parties
We may receive information from authorised distributors, resellers and system integrators; customers and deployment partners; business-information providers; event and programme organisers; payment, logistics and technical service providers; publicly available professional sources; and integrations authorised by the customer.
4. How We Use Information
We may use personal data to provide, activate, operate and maintain our products and services; create and administer customer, developer or partner accounts; process enquiries, orders, payments, deliveries, licences and warranties; configure devices, AI models, dashboards and integrations; provide installation, training, certification and technical support; authenticate users and prevent unauthorised access; manage software, firmware and cybersecurity updates; monitor reliability, performance, errors and product security; detect fraud, abuse, threats and policy violations; provide AI inference, analytics and alerts requested by customers; communicate service, safety, security and contractual information; respond to support, warranty and grievance requests; manage enterprise pilots, demonstrations and commercial relationships; improve our products, documentation and customer experience; comply with applicable legal, tax, accounting and regulatory requirements; establish, exercise or defend legal claims; conduct internal audits, governance and risk management; send business or marketing communications where permitted; and carry out another purpose disclosed at the time of collection or authorised by you.
5. Legal Grounds for Processing
Depending on the applicable law and circumstances, we process personal data based on one or more of the following: your consent; performance of a contract or steps requested before entering into a contract; compliance with a legal obligation; specified legitimate uses or other grounds recognised under applicable Indian law; our legitimate interests or those of a customer or third party, where permitted; protection of life, safety, systems or property; establishment, exercise or defence of legal claims; or another lawful basis available under applicable law.
Where processing is based on consent, you may withdraw consent by writing to our registered office. Withdrawal will not affect processing already lawfully undertaken.
6. Customer Responsibilities for Deployed AI Solutions
Customers deploying Atomo products are responsible for determining whether and how personal data will be processed; identifying a valid legal basis; issuing clear privacy and surveillance notices; obtaining consent where legally required; limiting camera coverage and monitoring to legitimate purposes; establishing data-retention periods; controlling access to dashboards and stored information; evaluating biometric, employment, healthcare, public-space and children’s-data restrictions; conducting impact assessments where required; responding to requests from affected individuals; ensuring accuracy and human review of consequential decisions; and configuring the system consistently with applicable law and Atomo documentation.
Atomo products must not be used to make fully automated decisions producing legal or similarly significant effects on an individual without appropriate authority, transparency, testing and meaningful human oversight.
7. AI Accuracy and Human Oversight
AI and computer-vision outputs are probabilistic and may contain false positives, false negatives, misclassifications or inaccurate confidence scores. Customers must independently validate outputs for their intended environment; establish appropriate accuracy thresholds; keep qualified humans involved in material decisions; avoid treating AI output as the sole basis for arrest, medical treatment, employment action, credit, insurance, legal status or another high-impact decision; and implement a process for review, correction, escalation and appeal where appropriate.
8. Cookies and Similar Technologies
Our websites may use cookies, pixels, local storage and similar technologies to operate essential website functions; remember preferences; maintain security; understand website performance; measure traffic and engagement; and support marketing where permitted. Where required, non-essential cookies will be used only after consent. You may manage cookies through the cookie banner or browser settings. Blocking certain cookies may affect website functionality.
9. How We Share Information
We may share information with service providers that support hosting, communications, analytics, cybersecurity, payment, accounting, customer support, logistics, professional advisory and infrastructure services; customers and authorised users; authorised distributors, system integrators, installation partners, channel partners or technology partners; auditors, lawyers, insurers, banks, regulators, courts, law-enforcement bodies or government authorities; and parties involved in a merger, acquisition, investment, restructuring, financing, sale of assets, insolvency or similar corporate transaction.
We may also share information where you request, authorise or reasonably expect the disclosure. Atomo does not sell personal data for monetary consideration.
10. International Data Transfers
Atomo may work with customers, service providers and partners in India and other countries. Where personal data is transferred internationally, we will use reasonable safeguards required by applicable law, which may include contractual data-protection clauses; adequacy decisions; approved transfer mechanisms; customer instructions; data localisation or regional hosting; and security and access-control measures.
Certain Atomo deployments are designed to process information locally on the customer’s premises, reducing the need to transmit raw operational data externally. Actual data flows depend on the selected configuration.
11. Data Retention
We retain personal data only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purpose for which it was collected; the duration of the customer or business relationship; contractual, warranty and support obligations; security, fraud prevention and dispute resolution; compliance with tax, accounting and legal requirements; and establishment, exercise or defence of legal claims.
Device telemetry, logs, video, images, model outputs and sensor information may have different retention periods based on configuration and customer instructions. Where Atomo processes information for a customer, the customer generally determines the retention period. At the end of the engagement, information may be returned, deleted or anonymised in accordance with contractual obligations, technical limitations and applicable law.
12. Security
We use reasonable administrative, organisational and technical measures designed to protect information, which may include access controls and role-based permissions; authentication controls; encryption where appropriate; secure development practices; system logging and monitoring; vulnerability and update management; network and device security controls; confidentiality obligations; backup and recovery procedures; and incident-response processes.
No system is completely secure. Customers are responsible for securing their networks, credentials, cameras, sensors, integrations, physical devices and local infrastructure. Customers must promptly install critical security updates, use strong unique credentials, restrict administrator access and notify Atomo of suspected vulnerabilities or incidents.
13. Personal Data Breaches
Where Atomo becomes aware of a personal-data breach affecting information for which it is responsible, we will investigate and take reasonable mitigation measures. We will notify affected customers, individuals or authorities where required by applicable law or contract. Where Atomo acts as a processor, we will provide the relevant customer with reasonably available information necessary for the customer to meet its obligations.
14. Your Rights
Subject to applicable law and verification requirements, you may have rights to obtain information about how your data is processed; request access to your personal data; request correction, completion or updating; request erasure or deletion; withdraw consent; object to or restrict certain processing; request data portability where applicable; opt out of certain marketing or data-sharing activities; nominate another person to exercise rights where legally available; request review of certain automated decisions; lodge a grievance or complaint; and contact the relevant data-protection authority.
We may request information necessary to verify your identity and authority. Some rights may be limited by legal obligations, security requirements, trade-secret protections or the rights of others. Requests may be submitted in writing to our registered office. Where Atomo processes information solely for a customer, we may refer your request to that customer.
15. Marketing Communications
You may opt out of promotional communications using any method stated in the communication or by writing to our registered office. We may continue to send non-promotional communications concerning orders, contracts, security, product updates, support, warranties or account administration.
16. Children’s Privacy
Atomo’s business products and services are not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal data directly from children through our website without appropriate authorisation. Customers must not use Atomo products to monitor, identify or profile children unless the deployment complies with all applicable legal requirements, including parental or guardian consent where required. Where we learn that personal data of a child has been collected unlawfully, we will take reasonable steps to delete or appropriately restrict it.
17. Sensitive and Biometric Information
Certain deployments may process biometric, health, precise-location, workplace, security or other sensitive information. Such functionality must be enabled only where necessary for a legitimate and documented purpose; legally permitted; appropriate notices and permissions are in place; access and retention are strictly limited; enhanced safeguards are implemented; and a human-review process is available where decisions affect individuals.
Atomo may decline, suspend or restrict a deployment that presents unacceptable legal, ethical, safety or security risks.
18. Third-Party Services and Integrations
Our products may integrate with third-party cameras, sensors, networks, cloud platforms, software, APIs or applications. Third parties process information under their own terms and privacy policies. Atomo is not responsible for independent third-party practices, availability or security. Customers should review third-party terms before enabling an integration.
19. Open-Source Software
Atomo products may incorporate open-source software governed by separate licence terms. Open-source components are subject to their applicable licences and notices. The inclusion of an open-source component does not authorise users to access or use Atomo proprietary software, models, firmware, interfaces or confidential information beyond the rights expressly granted.
20. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect changes in law, technology, products or business practices. The updated version will be posted with a revised “Last Updated” date. Where a change materially affects your rights, we may provide additional notice through the website, platform or contractual channel.
